poems

blue sky
green leaves on trees
and evergreens
orange daylilies
bloom

a few stores
face masks
and social distance
easy to say hello
and smile with our eyes
wash hands when we
return home and often

Petals On Wood

The daylilies in the vase
Are ending

       Petals drop on wood

I leave them
They express something poignant

       That words never could.
