Monday notes

Recently, Karl and I went to Walmart in Sheboygan. We walked through the new expanded books area – very nice. Yesterday, we went to Harbor Freight Tools in Sheboygan, and drove around a little to admire June gardens. We stopped at Woodlake Market in Kohler. I had not been there for a time, and was happy to see books for sale there as well.

Mead Library

Yesterday, Karl and I went to Mead Public Library in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

It was raining, and the parking lot was full, so we parked on the street. We had not been there for awhile, and it is wonderful to see all the creativity, along with the books. I remember going to a large bookstore years ago, and I already knew about the poetry books that interested me from the library. Yesterday, I shopped in their Friends of Mead Public Library Bookstore – and bought three more memoirs. The price was 50 cents each, and I chose to pay a dollar for each book. I seem to be growing a used book collection, that I can share again in new ways.

New for me this visit:

Imaginarium & Digital Media Lab

Mead’s Seed Library

We continue to enjoy ART AT THE LIBRARY, and viewed the Rocca Bookmarks collection.

Library poems from my archives:

a small crowd
waits for the doors to open –
the library

autumn in the air
young people
open doors for me
at the library

Karl took this photo at Mead Library in August 2018.

There are many nice paths in our area.  We visited one today, and Karl took these photos.  Perhaps we can note the beauty of the trails many days, and through the seasons.

Flowers in Town

Karl took these photos today, at a small park in Oostburg, Wisconsin.  Near the railroad tracks, this is a beautiful area.

These flowers, from the previous two photos, are planted beneath a plaque honoring World War II veterans from Oostburg, Wisconsin.  Their names are listed.

There is an official Village of Oostburg website.
