Two Photos: Different Ideas

It is interesting how photos may be edited to highlight different aspects of the photos. The flowers, the vases and presentation, and light in the room are all part of the images.

Colors of Blue

I looked out the window at the blue sky and then around my little study room, with the blue file cabinets and chair. And I thought of my poems with blue themes. Here are three poems.

bluebirds
truly so blue
trustworthy friends

more colors of blue
in Lake Michigan today
than I can name
the wonder of always learning
dreaming new dreams

hard years show
I let them show
growing anew

We enjoy our blue vase, which goes well with many colors.

Oostburg Bakery “Great Taste For Generations”

Poem from March 2015

Ellen Grace Olinger

The small park where Karl took many photos this year is across the street from the bakery, by the railroad tracks. So that is a nice routine – to visit the park, walk around town, and buy some bakery.

From my site, Poems From Psalms And Nature

Used books sometimes bring personal notes with them, or simply the name of the person who owned the book. I also like how a book that once belonged to a library has that history. Perhaps a book was discarded/sold to make room on the shelves, and had not been borrowed for a time. Now the book continues its journey in another way.
