winter storm Sunday

winter storm Sunday
a day to read poems
and enjoy the images,
language, and craft
with my heart

Today – and the following poems are from a past Spring. They were published together on one page in Time Of Singing.

Holy Week
lily flowers
wait to bloom

sometimes by sight
in my life of faith
apple trees in bloom

trusting God
a little more
with my questions
fog rests
on Spring fields

Creative Notes

Karl and I stopped at Festival Foods in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I discovered Julu Cards by JL Creations – Crystal, Minnesota. Nice to send some handwritten notes.

Poems About Snowdrops And Daffodils

gardens in winter
the serene snowfall
and remembering
where snowdrops
will bloom

January 2011

soon the garden
will begin in small ways
snowdrops

March 2019

blue sky
with cotton clouds
snowdrops

March 2010

reading Psalms
in the sunroom
fragrance of daffodils

March 2015

all the more yellow
because of grey skies
daffodils
forsythia
dandelions

May 2011

sunrise
daffodils bowed by rain
recover

May 2016

leaving them be
fragrance of faded
daffodils in a glass

June 2015

And a poem from February 2015:

blue grey sky
and water
a light grey

sun bright
through
evergreens

this new day

Short Poems About Birds

birds in the painting
from the thrift store
forever in flight

how small the song
of an unknown bird
quiet memories

in the backyard
birds back
and singing
never too old
to find this new

bluebirds
truly so blue
trustworthy friends

losses in life
low setting sun
through branches of trees
now rises again
as birds quietly sing

pink clouds
span the horizon
seagulls take flight
stretching to read
new books

afternoon rain
seagulls on pilings
wait to fly again

Garden Journal

We bought the swag at a grocery store, and Karl added a few more decorations he had saved from other years. So this Holiday Swag is one of a kind! Karl took the photo today. The snow and wind also created beauty for the cedar tree.
