Poems and Bible Verses

shapes of clouds
and sunrise sky
so many memories
sometimes and the
beauty of today

These are a few of the Bible verses that stay with me through the years. When I was young, I taught Sunday School and loved theology. For a long time, my faith has been devotional – strength, endurance, hope, and also more joy. Poetry is part of a life of contemplation and growing gratitude. Key word there is growing – always room to learn. So happy to be one of so many people who are blogging, offering hope and beauty. Trying new ideas, being creative, and making the day a little better for someone else.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 27: 14 (KJV)

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,
that the excellency of the power may be of God
and not from us.

2 Corinthians 4: 7 (KJV)

The eternal God is thy refuge,
and underneath are the everlasting arms

from Deuteronomy 33: 27 (KJV)

A few acrostics, which readers seem to especially enjoy.
