Lake Michigan is one of the Great Lakes – often thought of as “inland seas.” Here’s the link to the Wikipedia article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Lakes Thank you for Festival of Leaves! Blessings, Ellen LikeLike I do know the Great Lakes but as I live in Germany it is always fascinating to me that you have such huge lakes 😂 we only have our little rivers and ponds… We even call our Baltic Sea the “East Lake” 😁 Thanks 😉 LikeLike You are welcome. I have much to learn about the Great Lakes, though I have always lived in the Midwest USA. Sometimes comments prompt me to do more research. I have not been to your country, though my mother’s family was from Germany a long time ago. My father’s parents came here from Sweden. Thank you. LikeLiked by 1 person It’s such a beautiful landscape 😍 It’s wonderful to see how we somehow have connections all over the world. Do you know from which part of Germany they came? Sweden’s also such a beautiful country😊 LikeLike I don’t know the answer to your question, though I remember my mother created a family tree. Her name was Enola Marie Brandt, and then her last name became Borgh, when she married my father. I hope to go through more of her papers, and will let you know if I learn more. I helped with my mother’s care for many years, and her passing was in 2004. LikeLike Reblogged this on Festival of Leaves. LikeLike You still have leaves, we have wet snow.
