July 2015 – third gallery

wind through fields of corn
and wildflowers by the roads

driving past a tree farm
I remember when these trees
were small

The first picture is an Easter lily from a store that Karl planted in the garden one year.  Wildflowers grew, peonies and roses bloomed.

The daylilies and ferns offered beautiful photos as well.

last week in July
and wildflowers
I’ve loved for decades
bloom . . .

summer arrives late
and leaves early here
yet I am older now and

I know that
trying too hard
does not keep
anything close
forever

unless I can trust
and leave all in
His hands
