August poems

The daylily flowers are ending, in bloom, and almost in bloom.  The goldenrod is growing tall, and will bloom soon.

August poems from my archives:

growing older
goldenrod and roses
refreshed by rain

* * *

warm August night
light fading –

Time Of Singing (1996)

* * *

home from Sheboygan
grateful for the same roads
this long

* * *

blueberries on sale
from Canada now

* * *

almost dawn
boat with lights
along the horizon

* * *

resting my eyes
after reading for a time
raindrop catches the sun

* * *

late summer garden
and the lake in sun
blessings of friendship
