Hosta and Hummingbirds Written by Ellen Grace Olinger The hosta are beginning to bloom, which brings the hummingbirds. The Hummingbird Drawing is courtesy of Reusable Art. Hummingbird Family Portrait, by Harrison Weir, is also courtesy of Reusable Art. The photo of the hosta is by Karl, from another summer. It’s one of my favorites. LikeLike I saw hosta flowers at my sister-in-law’s, this week. They are so demure and graceful. We used to have meeting for worship in a rented room at a building with front gardens filled with hydrangea, red honeysuckle, and hosta flowers. I miss them…the flowers, worship and the people who attended. LikeLike Thank you, Liz, and blessings. LikeLike My hostas are blooming, but I still haven’t seen hummingbirds. But I’m hopeful! LikeLike Hi Marylin, Hope you see some hummingbirds. Thank you. LikeLike Ellen, thank you for sharing this with us. I hadn’t realized the hummingbirds liked them. I’m so glad to hear this, as we have a border lined with them. But I can’t see any from our windows. They are such dear birds. They build nests in our garden. Blessings ~ Wendy LikeLike Thank you, Wendy. I have not seen any nests so far. LikeLiked by 1 person Comments are closed.
